The China International Big Data Industry Expo (Big Data Expo) is the world's first big data expo. Since its first edition in 2015, the expo has been guided by the philosophy of "global vision, national level, industry perspectives and corporate standpoints", focused on the overall theme of "Data Creates More Value, Innovation Brings a Better Future", accelerated the aggregation of data resources, promoted deep integration across industries, improved the capacity for technological innovation, and comprehensively promoted the high-quality development of the digital economy. With a legacy of successful editions, the expo has developed into a prestigious international gathering of industry elite, a professional platform setting the pace for cutting-edge trends, as well as a business cooperation platform pooling global resources.

Since its inception, the Big Data Expo has been highly valued by leaders of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government, attracting widespread attention from various sectors both domestically and internationally.. Sponsored by the National Data Bureau and undertaken by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government, the Big Data Expo 2024 was held in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province on August 28-30, with the theme of "Smart Digital Technology Shapes Thriving Digital Economy." Over 1,300 new technologies, products, solutions, and applications in the data field were exhibited by 414 participants. A total of 93 events were held concurrently, including the opening and closing ceremonies, achievement releases, industry exchanges, specialized sessions, and business negotiations.
