The China International Big Data Industry Expo (Big Data Expo) is about to celebrate its 10th anniversary as an international big data event. This year, with the strong support of the National Data Administration (NDA), the event preparations are in full swing. At the Press Conference for Big Data Expo 2024 on the morning of July 30, 2024, Cai Chaolin, Vice Governor of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government, detailed the main features of the preparations for the Big Data Expo 2024.
Cai noted that delivering the Big Data Expo at an advanced level is a major move to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's critical discourse on the development of the digital economy and the spirit of his important remarks during a visit to Guizhou. This year, the focus will be on proceeding with reform and innovation, and conducting elaborate planning to ensure that the preparations for the Big Data Expo 2024 are carried out with excellence.
The Big Data Expo 2024 will highlight the diversity of the exhibition to fully showcase the cutting-edge trends of digital innovation. Aiming for new breakthroughs in exhibition content, the expo will adopt a strategy of internationalization, organization, professional curation and market-oriented organization. A 60,000-square-meter exhibition space will be built, featuring six major thematic zones. The exhibitors include Huawei, Tencent, Alibaba, Baidu, CEC, CETC, the three major telecom operators and China Southern Power Grid, alongside local companies like Mafengwo.
The Big Data Expo 2024 will reinforce its professional and authoritative status as a guiding force in big data development. The expo will bring together international industry organizations, state ministries and commissions, top think tanks and well-known companies to deliver a series of ancillary activities, and to release a series of policy measures and innovative achievements in the data field, thereby setting the trend for the development of big data. Besides, global elite, business leaders, experts, scholars and government representatives will gather to engage in exchanges on the issues at the forefront of the big data domain.
