On July 30, the Press Conference for China International Big Data Industry Expo 2024 (Big Data Expo 2024) was held at the Beijing Conference Center.

Shen Zhulin, Deputy Director of the National Data Administration (NDA); Cai Chaolin, Vice Governor of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government; Ma Ningyu, Mayor of the Guiyang Municipal People's Government; and Jing Yaping, Director of the Big Data Development Administration of Guizhou Province attended the press conference and took questions from journalists. Wang Xudong, the spokesperson for NDA and Director of the General Department of NDA, presided over the press conference.
Shen detailed the arrangements for the Big Data Expo 2024. He noted that the event, hosted by NDA and organized by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government, will take place in Guiyang, Guizhou Province from August 28 to 30. With the theme "Smart Digital Technology Shapes Thriving Digital Economy", the expo will offer a panoramic view of the latest development trends and achievements of the data industry in China and abroad. In terms of content, the expo will consistently reflect the theme of "high-quality development of the digital economy", with specialized exhibitions centered around six key areas: digital industrialization, industrial digitalization, data valuation, digital governance, new digital infrastructure and data security. In terms of achievement release, a series of policies will be released and an array of leading technological achievements will be selected. In addition, this year's expo will fully leverage its role as an international exchange and cooperation platform characterized by openness, sharing and resource pooling, to deliver activities such as Data Night Talks, Data Night, characteristic corporate activities, and big data observation and experience.
Cai introduced the preparations for the Big Data Expo 2024. Since its first edition in 2015, under the guidance of relevant state ministries and commissions, the expo has developed into a global barometer for big data development, as well as an international leading exchange and cooperation platform in the industry. The expo represents Guizhou's "digital covenant" with the world and the future. The preparations for the Big Data Expo 2024 will highlight the diversity of the exhibition to fully showcase the cutting-edge trends of digital innovation; will reinforce its professional and authoritative status as a guiding force in big data development; will enhance corporate participation to place them at the forefront of the expo; and will refine services to improve the overall efficiency and participant experience. We sincerely invite all our friends, whether new or old, to gather in Guiyang, a cool city known as China's Digital Valley, to fulfill a decade-long promise, to partake in the grant Big Data Expo event, to share digital opportunities, and to collaboratively forge a new narrative of high-quality development of the digital economy.
